   I had to prepare my mindset that with these type of stories would come along with a lot of itchy bugs. And when I mean “itchy bugs” I mean commentators who will love ML and hate FL. And I had to tell myself and remind others that it’s not good to stop and argue at someone’s entitled and tasteless comment, going after the true victim and loving the attacker. In case you don’t want to spend your week or weekend reading a whole 40 chapters of these manhwa and destroying you’re head..read this comment ( but I’m warning you, you’ll dislike this manhwa in the end and congrats if you have read this long comment because I will assume you’ll stop from reading halfway because of how toxic this manhwa is or simply because it’s too long. And the reason this is long is because a lot of readers are debaters and like for examples and reasoning’s to be shown ) *And yes, it will obviously contain SPOILERS* So in the first chapter, we as readers catch a glimpse of the main characters of this toxic shit hole. A blonde girl named Rose and a dark haired man who we can assume is her lover. This lovey dovey scene is like a “flashback” before the destruction of this introduction to the pair. Then it shows her looking you could arguably say drained, holding what looks like her son ( a. k. a, a resemblance to her lover so their kid ) and then to her lover with the look of disappointment and disgust when she tells him “Yes, I’m sure we will…since that’s what your Majesty wanted.” (a simple comment towards him, guilt tripping him in a way ) It then shows her distress and not wanting to be in the palace and being vocal to him because she is his wife and then she tells him “And I find you appalling.” while crying. So we can again assume that the pair once had a good relationship, and now a dank one. ML then talks to himself selfishly trying to make himself feel like the hero by basically telling himself that he “held them through the difficult times” ?. Then panels shift with the lover ( I forgot to mention he’s the Emperor…..?) and his aide telling him that a fire has started in the FL palace. Long story short : She died trying to rescue her baby..and her baby died. But it also revealed a shady nasty woman telling Emperor to not enter to fire to rescue her because she doesn’t “want him to get hurt” but I automatically felt like these deranged lady was the one who was behind the fire. ?? He goes on a rampage killing a lot of nobles including that deranged women who “spoiler alert” is also his wife. ?? so not only is Emperor hypocrisy showing on how much he loved his lover, we went on the be neglectful and a narcissistic person who married not once, twice! Anyways, he gets closer to the hazardous environment, killing himself and saying “If only I had realized it sooner, I wouldn’t have lost you. I’m going to your side now…” but then we woke up to Rose on top of him, talking to him and said “Dear, are you feeling alright? How come you’ve been sleeping for so long?” with him obviously confused. SOWHATANINTRODUCTION…

   He is obviously ecstatic that he returned, meaning he can help his ex lover to not be doomed. And some of you guys with COMMON SENSE and DIGNITY are probably thinking “he’ll leave her alone so he won’t cause any emotional ache to her” ( because during this time they aren’t royalty, just “commoners” although Rose is a commoner with a slave background, he the MC a prince who basically didn’t tell her “Oh hey I’m actually heir to the throne…” because he is that selfish. Wow communication and honesty is key and this guy broke the rule for his own ego ) but he decides to still be with her even when FL father smelled something and was like “You just need to part ways from her” but of course, he doesn’t. Some of us readers were going to give it a try! Maybe he needs some redemption if he does things right…oh boy I was wrong. Obviously ML is delulu and keeps trying to feed his pride and ego with delusional thoughts of “Ima protect her and she’ll be mine. We’ll live together with our baby” which was so frustrating to hear and see because FL cannot remember anything! FL finds out she’s pregnant, and it shows that in ML last life, she was happy but in this timeline, she isn’t that happy…giving us a reader an assumption that what if she’s getting a gut feeling of something terrible to happen. ML is obviously nervous because he’s like “oh shit, if she remembers, then she won’t want to be with me…” you decide whether that’s a narcissistic statement or someone who “loves” someone. He starts using narcissistic tactics to make her feel trap like telling her to tell him that she loves him just to reassure his ass and only for him to use her statements against her by saying “you said you loved me, you have my child, you kissed me.” AND A LOT OF ENTITLED STUFF so obviously i’m thinking…ML is such a trashy man. LONG STORY SHORT : She remembers everything. He knowing her slave background still had her be put out in a very dangerous environment ( the noble ground ) she gets ridiculed, but after remembering her shitty life, she confronts him but he tells her “you’re mine” and doesn’t allow her to leave and he obviously plays to the mental game with her with the “you said you love me. I love you, and i’m sorry” and what not…and also a lot of nobles are pressuring ML to take in that one deranged last timeline wife and keeps saying no. He just put her into the social ground so quickly without thinking and planning everything. He thinks his “authority” will keep everything settle but no…and also that deranged lady knows FL is a slave so she’s gonna use that against them. ML isn’t a protector, he’s a dululu person who keeps having “big Ideas” but never plans them out and hopes God will like bruh

   ❗WARNING SPOILERS ❗If you don’t understand what happened or what the emperor did: He married many wives, sleeping with them after marrying the women (fl) he claimed he loved. At one point he ran back to her, sobbing, that he got the other woman “unintentionally” pregnant, and that he was sorry. He became way much older (60 or 50+) and got so many concubines; sleeping with the ones who were much younger (yep). The Emperor- who is also the MALELEAD neglected Fl, killing their children (Fl) and leading such events that ended Fl. FL was so miserable and really pitiful in my eyes. The emperor coats his disgusting and wicked actions as love- including his plan to get rid of anyone who despises and dislikes the empress (FL) by siding (or working) with the Republicans, which in honest opinion is so problematic and unrealistic. Why? Here (since authors love to make novels comparable to the real world historically or whatever) FL is a slave, so it is no wonder why the nobles (and most commoners) dislike the idea that a slave is an empress- which in no joke, was normal. Kings and queens historically had to get married to each other (incest) or to other nobles (princesses) from other countries. It’s taboo that a slave is married to an emperor, there. But did FL know? No. It’s literally shown that she was tricked into believing another commoner was in fact a commoner, which is not idiotic, a fucking emperor looked and lived like a commoner, anywho, how can the emperor (who never cared about FL until “now”) plan on killing (maybe I am getting too deep into this, but I don’t believe massacring people because they dislike FL is reasonable) many people? which many seem to agree. I think his “plan” is cringe and so unexpected, again, coming from someone who did NOT love her. Now the question is why? Does the emperor feel guilty? No. He’s narcissistic and has a fat ego. In some theories (since we can’t read the author or a fake character’s mind) the emperor is upset that a slave- a woman- a woman he neglected and did not love, does not love him, and remembers how she was treated, another one that I strongly believe on, is that he knows he messed up, meaning his life ended because of his actions, so he has to choose someone who was the most vulnerable and the most guaranteed option to rule his kingdom in the long run, so what better chose, than a slave who loved him? A slave who never received an education and a slave whose dad committed a crime, by stealing her? Seems way much more reasonable. He has a plan to keep his ego and power in check. Anyways, by reading spoilers (Reddit) it seems, that ML commits the same mistakes again, but FL ends up forgiving him. The author throughout this whole story tries to make the ML a victim and a pitiful character- but in my eyes, it just angers me more. FL is also frustrating, it’s understandable of how hard It would be to leave the emperor, She asks so many times and tries so hard to leave him, but to no avail, the emperor finds a way to pressure her into staying. ML gives so many bad vibes, including his obsession with making her fall in love with him, again. The emperor is so toxic and the author poorly wrote this.

   Anyways I would love to see any other theories, but it’s obvious the emperor is a bitch.

    I didn’t even think of that BUT THAT MAKES SENSE!!

    It would be easier (A. He was already in a relationship with her B. She is a slave C. He knows her and the priest well enough and knows what happened) It would also guarantee this life, power, and success to be long enough when a women- a slave, he knows will not “betray” him. She’s slowly consuming his lies, and it’s annoying. Although the author might have not planned that or was not going towards that- it fits in. Emperor is not a victim nor a pitiful character, he’s a narcissist who loves to receive things in his own manner. Why not let go of someone he does not care about, nor let go of someone who doesn’t love him? either way, this story is stupid, and would not recommend it since spoiler alert!!- he’s the male lead and is forgiven by MC.

    It’s kinda weird how people are defending the emperor and excuse his actions by miscommunication when that’s not the issue. That excuse is probably a nice way to excuse his man-child-like behavior. If you like this type of story go ahead and say it, it’s just people have the right to comment on a story that was going well but now is going bitter, It doesn’t mean people have to comment stupid questions trying to understand why this story is not liked.
