Honestly I’ve got to rant a bit about Hestia, she’s kinda infuriating as a fml. Everything about her is just Kael, revenge, Kael, revenge. Diana isn’t even a good antagonist because she doesn’t do much to fight against Hestia. The whole thing feels so one sided and like there’s a clear power imbalance between the two. Hestia is clearly more intelligent and is always scheming whereas Diana just takes L after L after L. There’s never been a moment where I thought Hestia might be in trouble and I feel like Hestia is just doing to much at this point. Like dam she’s already down!
I love Hestia but I just enjoy her character so much more when she’s not constantly on a one track mind of revenge against someone who can’t even stand on equal footing with her. I desperately need more moments of her going against someone who’s of equal intelligence and level headed or more romantic moments between her and Kael since I feel like we’ve hardly seen them actually bonding. Yeah they have moments where they’re jealous and little soft moments here and there but I really want to see more of them just being a couple.
I hope this gets fixed because I feel like it’s hurting their communication too. Hestia keeps insisting on revenge when Kael doesn’t even want it. He deadass just wants to focus on their future and she keeps taking it the wrong way.
100% I’m not hating on any of the characters since I think they’re all complex in their own ways but it’s still so frustrating.
Although there are a few inconsistency between og novel and manhua, it’s probebly ’cause of the difficulty to bring every scene alive. I should say there’s some missing part from the og novel that i was hoping to see(???) But i didn’t get to.
And in the novel there was a lot of fluffy moment for hestia and kael that isn’t in the manhua(i think it wasn’t aproppriate for the rating of this work :D)
So if you’r curious i suggest to take a look at it.
@Whateverssss I did read a bit of the novel so I know it’s pretty uh spicy ✨ but I’ll probably have to reread from the beginning because it does just feel like there may be more cuddly moments there like you said. Still hoping to see more in the manhwa tho 🤞
I love how ruthless Hestia is. people say that she’s doing too much against an enemy who’s weak and already down, but please remember that she saw her fave die in a pit of despair and that’s what she’s aiming for towards diana. also the fact that she can’t go back to the real world and is stuck here, getting revenge is everything she has. she said it herself, having one track mind was the only thing keeping her sane after the time regression. she’s finally almost at the climax of it all but kael is now gonna try and take the sweet victory away from her and that’s when she’s going to crash and spiral (which I hated to read about in the novel 😭 poor Hestia), and I guess the manhwa is going to take the same route as the novel. I agreed that there could’ve had more development between her and kael, but I don’t think that any of what she did was wrong or too much. I’ll say it again, she’s stuck in this world and having a clear objective (revenge for kael’s death) was the only thing keeping her sane. I’m forever a Hestia apologist lol
@carol don’t get me wrong I love her character dearly it’s just she needs more than just that at this point. We’re a hundred chapters in and that’s all she is. A one track mind for revenge and Kael and that’s sad to me. Yes I want more moments with her and Kael but most of all I think she needs character development and to be able to stand on her own without him. It’s not healthy to be fully dependent on one thing for happiness and at this point she has several other people around her who care and love her. She’s got a title, a business, friends, support system, all of it. I completely understand that it’s also personal for her but it’s like it’s the same thing over and over. She’s obsessing over something unhealthy and just needs to find a purpose outside of Kael and perfect revenge.
