Ok, not gonna lie, I’m not a big fan of this “union workers = BAD” plotline. Like, it’s been proven that the only way that companies listen and provide better benefits is because of unions. Heck, the 8 hour work day? The “you get time for lunch” part of most peoples work life? The “company pays for health insurance” (which has been whittled to a hair, tbh, but that’s beside the point) stuff that keeps people somewhat healthy? Yeah, ALL of that came from unions and union strikes. Yes, there are bad actors out there, but that applies to both sides. It’s been proven SO MANY TIMES that when a company is not incentivized to care for its workers, it results in workers with little pay, no health insurance, no benefits, etc.
