For those of you who don’t understand, theres this war called the “Silent War” that took place long ago. It’s called that way because the dead creature-monster-like-thingies respond to sound. And this Duke dude took part in the war and lots of his troops were wiped out. Among the troops there were young men there. I’m suspecting the FL went undercover as a young man into this battlefield. The Duke, thinking that FL is a boy and will die, got shocked because FL could handle those creatures even though she’s outnumbered. The reason why the Duke said “Why are you wearing a skirt” its prolly because he just found out that this talented “young man” in the battlefield is a woman.
This started so confusing but so far I’m getting that she grew up not seeing her parents and when she got called she thought she would be recognised but she was sold somewhere (probably the South). She got disposed off since they’re trying to produce and heir and she would be useless since she’s a woman. Fast forward now, she came to ask why she got sold after she mad a name for herself and won’t give up until she gets an answer?
