In Leylas defense for not leaving him, it’s really hard to leave an abusive home and if she leaves the duke that’s all she has to go back to. So yo her anything is better than that so it’s getting to the point that she has no other options as a woman to either stay there and deal with that crap and potentially loose her spot as Dutchess or go home and for sure be abused and probably worse than before because she came back many years later having “failed” to marry the duke.

To be honest, I don’t think there is any problem with this manhwa. Considering that the character build up is pretty good, I don’t understand why the rating is so low.
It makes sense that she didn’t break up with the guy yet since they’ve been together since childhood, its hard to let go of your family even if they are already pushing you to the edge. With the current update right now (Chapter 22), it is pretty good on how the story build up and finally pushed her to the limit. The author didn’t make the story too fast paced which I like. She’s also not the type of character who just, “Oh, shit he brought another girl. Let’s leave him right away ’cause im a cool and mature character,” which is a very unrealistic decision to make. Or maybe just because I like heartbreaking and tragedies.
What the main character did in this story is pretty good and makes sense compared to the other fast paced stories I have read. That is why I don’t understand why the other readers doesnt like this story. The main character is not stupid, her reasoning just make sense and has lots of patience. Theres always a perfect time. So far, this is one of the manhwas that i’m waiting for the updates.
