He never cheated on her nor was he obligated to do so. She loved him, he didn’t- so deal with it. She knew that he wasn’t going to love her and what not and knew what she had to face considering his shitty past and his status and her becoming Empress, and she was never “neglected” UNTIL that Blondie bitch came in with his kid. And that don’t mean she was neglected by him but other nobles and servants upon hearing that he supposedly has a kid with this chick, and sure- he never stood up for her but lets remember that was trying to sort out all this bullshit, maybe not in the smart way-but he had shit in hands. Also that kid ain’t his, but his deceased brother meaning he never had contact with her, he was never rude/mean to her, but she felt that way simply because he didn’t love her back or showed emotion and how could he when literally he was abused by his own father and pressured since he is royalty. Yall gotta be real- and tbh idk why he wastes his time on her when literally he can find someone else. He doesn’t love her now, simply he is longing for her since she was the only one there for him at the toughest moments. You guys are acting like this because it’s her pov, and not his. The author likes to only show sensitive sides of FL and not potential ML. I get it-she was an empress, madly in love and suddenly this bitch shows up with the kid and says it’s ML but C’MONNNNNNN!!! look at it both ways for real :/

@LonelyPluto, remember that he wanted to have her adopt the prince against her wishes. Ignoring someone and being indifferent is a form of abuse as well. When she lost her first baby, he didn’t try to comfort her. So you could argue he was indeed neglectful and indifferent. It was only after she left that he realized that she brought him a lot of comfort that he wasn’t really conscious off until her absence made it clear. FL never blamed him for his neglect, since when they got together he flat out told her he wouldn’t love her. It’s just that FL grew tired waiting for him to answer her feelings and walked out and moved on. It’s him who can’t do the same. At the very least, having read the novel, I appreciate that he has to do a lot of work to rearn her trust and affection.
