To be fair..he told her that he was not going to love her nor was he obligated to do so in the beginning..and in the contract, if I am correct, one of the “rules” stated that he wouldn’t be unfaithful of some sort and blah blah blah. People are getting mad at him but he never slept with the girl nor cheated on the MC, the lady actually slept with the dudes brother and got pregnant. She was sent away to marry a king of some sort, but had escaped and “in order to survive” she told the dude that the child was his. He probably denied it in the beginning but he accepted it since ya know, he is the only “royalty” left..and he didn’t think that the child was possibly his brothers because it never crossed his mind..I don’t like how the author or characters in this portray him as the bad dude. Also, I want to note that, she was never neglected UNTIL the whole 2 face girl came in and caused this whole drama..sure- she may have crossed paths with jealous noble girls but that’s common in legit every manhwa/manga. This author only portrayed her side of feeling heartbroken and upset/betrayed ( I mean – yeah – she is the MC ) but only has since shown the ML bad sides if ya know what I mean. That just makes us readers upset and judgmental right off the bat and then later confused and more upset after suddenly making the ML innocent and nice. But correct me if i’m wrong, but I think we should direct our bitterness towards the blonde girl…
@Lonelypluto tbh i agree with you, i always thought she was being kind of dramatic but then again she loved the ML and she probably felt like he betrayed her by having a child with the blondie.
I’m not gonna waffle too much but here: ur opinion is urs and ppl may agree but I think he’s just a shitty person- yes although he never promised love he promised to protect her- and he did a shit job at that he practically abandoned her not checking on her not rlly talking she was putting in the work. And then when his EX LOVER came back he had the audacity to assume she would be perfectly happy with this LOCKED HER UP ABD GOT MAD AND JEALOUS when he promised no love and ignored her feelings he knew perfectly well were very strong said her feelings didn’t matter and belittled her and probably scared the shot out of her even tho he PROMISED HER DAD that he would make her happy I can go and on abt it a lot more but that’s just the surface overall I think he’s a crap guy I’m only reading this bc I’m enjoying this and not for that dickhead
in a shorter version HE PROMISED her dad (which was his main support and probably largest reason y he was the emperor in the first place) THAT HE WOULD MAKE HER HAPPY which he didn’t. although she said it didn’t matter he could clearly tell it did- he ignored her feelings he could clearly see and never checked on her visited her NOTHING he was a shit guy and couldn’t even do the bare minimum of making her happy bc he knew she would always run after him he kinda used her feelings to make himself feel better and believed she was one of his “things” when he didn’t take care of her ofc everyone’s allowed their opinions but I just can’t feel pity for this guy any at all it’s all his fault imo

I’m sorry I don’t hate the emperor.. he had suffered enough all his life as well.. if the FL had actually tried to communicate and discussed everything clearly then it wouldn’t have happened.. it’s not like he cheated on her behind her back .. she knew each and everything about him . I understand from her point of view she didn’t got the feelings back.. but she could have done better than escaping ??
