This just reminded me a story. Once upon a time there was a girl who lost all her hope to live, waited for her death. There was a tree which was full of leaves in front of her room’s window. While days were passing, leaves of tree were falling day by day. Girl thought that a tree was like her, when its last leaf would fall, she would also die. She didn’t eat anything or tried to move but looked at the tree. Once her old friend who was an artist visited her and saw his friend how she was gloomy. Girl just once spoke and uttered in low voice, “does it remind me?”.
After a while, when there was heavy storm, there were only two leaves on the tree. After one of them fell, the girl closed her eyes and waited for tomorrow to die. It would be miracle if a leaf wouldn’t have fallen. However, when she opened her eyes the leaf was still on the tree. Next day again. Again and again. It was like, leaf was insisting to live. The girl also hoped that she could live if she was much more stubborn against fate. Once she nourished enough and hoped, she got better.
When she was capable to leave her room, the first thing she wanted to do was visiting the tree. After seeing the tree the girl was shocked, ’cause all the leaves on the tree had fallen. And the tree she was observing was a mere picture. It was a last present from her old friend who died in storm.
