For those unsure of what’s happening, here’s a rundown (from what I remember of the novel, since the translation is a bit difficult to follow):
So if I recall correctly this guy/rat is Han’s master. He is able to control (or rather, possess) all the people in the room, which is why even if Lloyd killed a body, he just moved to another. Eventually he possesses the body of the Emperor’s most proficient guard (it’s interpreted that when he possesses someone, he is also able to access the original owner’s skills, but that’s never actually specified).
If I recall correctly, this guy isn’t actually able to possess just anyone. Instead the Emperor did something (don’t remember what. Maybe he ordered or made them drink something) to enable the servants and guards to be possessed by this rat. All because he hates Valentine’s arrogance and wants to bring him down.
At this point, he wants to take the devil’s malice from Lloyd. He mentions that without the malice, Lloyd would become a shell easily disposed off.
Lloyd dares him to take the malice, since he hates it (as it’s basically turning him crazy and will eventually kill him when he reaches 40). Of course, Aria notices Lloyd isn’t really worried so she figures he has a plan.
