I know this is supposed to be a revenge story and all and it fits with the time period they are emulating, but idk burning people at the stake feels icky? Out of place? I don’t know it just doesn’t fit the overall tone
Ok, so, I re-read the series just now, and I’d like to point out something. The art style makes it seem cute and light hearted, but this story is actually fairly darker than the art style would tell you. Like, if they’d used the art style from “The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass” or “The Real Daughter is Back” or “I Plan To Become The Master Of A Stolen Family” it would’ve matched better. That being said, I don’t think the whole, ‘burning at the stake’ thing is too out of character, especially considering the various other dark moments we’ve seen, ya know, like that priest who kidnapped the saintess, being tortured and healed to be tortured again.
