i feel like the ppl talking about how “”bad”” tge ml is didn’t read the words and just stared at pictures
shes a daughter of the family that is, pretty much, his enemy. the laurel thing pretty much forced him into this marriage. shes acting weirdly sweet as if just trying to get him to trust her. his territory is in debt and would probably fail eventually if it collected too much more, so he needs to be cautious. he has literally every logical reason under the sun not to trust her and he isnt even doing anything THAT bad aside from cold (understandable, shes a complete stranger to him anyway) and being kind of a jerk SOMETIMES. what are yall ON
(also yes fym “he doesn’t deserve her?”, shes genuinely just using him for personal benefit ? she doesn’t have even shred of feelings for him atp either)

Idk it just feels like people don’t ever actually read the story and instead assess dialogue at face value without any real consideration of how the plot plays any part in a character’s chemistry with another character.

Hmmm probably gonna see em like fall for each other but never confess cuz oh “she’s the daughter of my enemy” and “he hates me anyway” and probably turn into “she’ll probably hate the idea i would destroy her family” and “he and i are going to divorce after my family’s destruction so he doesn’t need me anymore like leaking info or supporting him” so they’ll think it may be useless to confess or fall in love when they terribly are hahaha

tbh this is better then ml being totally in love with fl for no reason. i mean, they just met each other right? they definitely need more time to get to know each other before start to falling in love. that’s what development in romance means.
