Laritte looks like an aristocrat here because she is properly dressed as one (and her beauty helps) but her personality still is awkward with the whole situation, and even though she is building her self confidence now, her behavior and way of thinking is just starting to change, She doesn’t cause a scene as the nobles would expect of an ex-servant because the trauma of abuse taught her to be a quiet and conservative person, it’s not because she knows how the nobles behave (how could she know how to act in a space she’s never been before?).
Laritte took her first steps a while ago but only after this event she will begin to properly develop her personality as someone who is not scared to speak her mind and can be way bolder than she ever was. It’s not a 360° transformation, but a slow progress of overcoming trauma that we get to see 🙂
