I honestly don’t mind the red haired knight. She’s being realistic and is considering the situation without letting her emotions get in the way. But you can still see that she’s being pretty sympathetic from her expressions.
She kinda annoys me. I hoped at least her subordinate wouldn’t discriminate, like I get she’s worried for him, but it annoys me how invested she is in his love life, to the point of trying to forbid him from marrying someone.
many of you forget the premise of these stories and it shows. stories in these settings are not perfect – love is the furthest thing from almost everyone’s minds, especially nobility. the knight is being realistic about the duke and everything he will have to deal with in the future. but she clearly has a lot of sympathy and understanding for the situation since she literally said she hopes they’ll get through it together
the knight is definitely realistically approaching the situation, and realizes that her captain wont back down, and realizes that his wife must be a good person, so the knight is willing to continue serving. not mad at her at all tbh
