In the book, Hilise isn’t that pretty in the 5 timeline. She tried to escape her family and the father lock her in a secret room mean to hide treasure.
Meaning there is NOTHING to live here, bed, blanket or any basic furniture. Also, he only come here either to feed her when he thinks about it (Sometimes she waited a week that he thought about feeding her, she drank some moldy water in a corner of the room to survive) or to experiment a way to transfer her power to her brother. He doesn’t care about appearance at this point, he fully uses his power to suppress, attach her while he forces her to drink some mixture or directly inject it in her body.
When Alois came to save her, she is described as having many open injuries infected and her body was partially distorted, particularly her arms, since the father concentrate in it. Her skin was mostly blue and purple and blood was a profound red, almost black.
The brother and sister were horrified when they see her, calling her monster and fainted.
I just comment to complain about the fact that the website suppr all my tentative to airy the text. So I’m not to blame if it’s a block of text, I did interspace my paragraphs
