I do too!! I want riftan to then go to her father and smack the living hell out of him. not even just to smack but more things. I want to see him suffer and beg riftan to kill him but he won’t because death is too nice for him. ruth will then keep treating him and riftan will keep torturing him for as long as possible. he’ll then take all of his fortunes taken from him so he’ll have nothing left. and after quite a while, riftan or someone else can kill him : ) it’s a little dark but you gotta do what you gotta do yk?
(Using nothing but what we’ve learned so far and context clues) Its a shame. Ever since she was a child her father has been abusing her and trying to find a way to get something out of her since he was forced to have her if he wanted to keep the land he stole. So of course, when he saw the knight he hated and wanted dead, he discovered a way to get rid of two birds with one stone. A use for his ‘worthless daughter’ as a means to stake a claim on Anatol and the fiefdom, while disposing of the knight Riftan in the dragon war he forced him to go to the morning after the wedding. Which is likely why he held her prisoner after the wedding incase she got pregnant with an heir the Duke could have used. And none of these knights know this because she has a victin mentality of “People will hate me if I burden them with my trauma because I don’t deserve life or any human decency for having a sutter.” Glad the author cut the backstory there, instead of how wrong it could have gone with a blanketly hated and ignored girl in a place full of malice.
