Ima say this and I don’t care if anyone is offended, and I HOPE s2manga does not delete my comment just like how they did to others, but people are so ignorant and cringe. MC killed so many people and was selfish because the person she “loved” (obsession is not love) loved somebody else. She was a tyrant and KILLED many people, including imprisoning someone over anger, jealousy, and greed, and 97% of everyone in the last couple of chapters are defending her saying “ShE wAs NoT aCknOwlEDgeD By HEr FAtHeR and NoT lOveD!!” tf- I guess we should excuse every serial killer and pedo with a horrible childhood (most of the time, they had a much worse childhood than not being acknowledged) and every mass sh**ter, we should as a community who believes a tyrant who killed people with families and value and imprisoned a pitiful man should be ignored because she was neglected and sent to death- which I 100% believe is an easier way to a hellish punishment, should allow everyone who is committed a horrible crime to not be judged because everyone has a million of chances (??) It’s nice to see people change, I believe everyone should change, and MC is doing that, but please stop saying MC had reasons for being such a psycho bitch.

Also just like I called this cringe, I know some might think I am cringe for even posting this, but I think authors, most of the time write, compare, and collate certain stuff (modern world/historically) to their work, and readers commenting on their thoughts can show how people are in the real world (in a way if you get it)

I find it weird how people make it seem she already faced the consequences of her actions, but as a Christian (if we are going to compare this story) she was given a second chance by a divine ruler, so who are we to judge (of course it is understandable and reasonable) and yes, I know you are judging her past character, which is 100% okay, and I find it weird how some chapters ago my comment was deleted for simply backing someone who said (don’t remember what) “Da*n MC was a total b**ch here” (a chapter where it was flashbacking MC past life where she was a tyrant) they got so much hate, for what? They were right, MC was a horrible person, so why were people mad?
Also, something else I realized is how MC seems like she still carries feelings (whether is loved or guilt or care) for the black-haired child, although she imprisoned him and killed his love (and eventually killed him in a way). I find it weird how people are shipping her with anyone (black-haired dude) although she is mentally older, and knows what she did to him in her past life. I don’t know, I find it weird to feel guilty for ruining thousands of lives, but still adamant about whether to keep a relationship with someone you know you ruined, especially when they don’t know (did not regress, nor is an adult to understand). Also if we are speaking realistically, I find it so weird how chapters ago, MC (who was full of anger) tried to impress or seek validation from her father. I don’t know, I would imagine someone who was evil (and in a way mature) to seem coldhearted but is too childish and cowering. But if I was speaking individually, without bringing any divine power to play, I believe her punishment was too lighted. But it is nice to see someone change for the better.

I’m gonna try my best to understand you two, the problem about this is that this is how almost every manhwa’s go, Fl is a ruthless person who killed people and then bam she gets sent to the past and then the readers think it’s okay. A few months ago or a year ago I think, there was a manhwa that came out, but instead of it being in the “fl” Aka the mother’s perspective it was the “fl’s” daughter’s perspective. The reason why there were such less comments on that manhwa was because there was nobody to blame so they just stayed silent. If that manhwa was not in the daughter’s perspective people would’ve Immediately jump into conclusions and start defending the mother saying stuff like “but it was because of ___ she’s changed!” Look I don’t give a fuck, people are trying to excuse what tyrant fl’s do always blaming it on someone else but why don’t you blame fl for once? I understand Fl wasn’t acknowledged by her father or theon but that doesn’t excuse what she did in the past, although one thing I will say is that they have every reason to blame Ethan because he is the one who manipulated her into doing these things but what do you know? People are saying that “he’s changed” even though he clearly is still manipulative and obsessive. She was blinded by anger and jealousy whilst the dickhead was feeding it to her, it’s weird that people state he loved her, but if that were true, why would he hurt himself by feeding her information about black hair dude, hence making her commit horrible acts? I find it weird that Ethan (now as a child) is acting annoying and weird, almost as if he was born like that (in which some have said he regressed) if I am being honest MC should start her life over or live in a much quieter life, but I doubt that since her father is another disgusting bastard.

She did in fact have reasons for her behavior–reasons not even she uses as excuses and tries to not fall back into. She keeps beating herself up over it over and over. The flashbacks about how “horrible” she was lack context and focus on her being horrible because that’s how she sees herself, not the objective facts about the situation.
What we don’t see all the time from her is the nobility she executed were corrupt. They hated the MC because she was an emperor who had the lowest people in mind. She taxed them to hell and back and then when they wanted her dead she executed them. She started becoming paranoid because everyone was against her because she was also in a corrupt system and she didn’t understand why her husband was acting the way he was–because he didn’t tell her he was going insane from his magic.
In the past she genuinely thought the empire was going to collapse from a weak willed crown prince who couldn’t govern properly because her stupid father decided he was the best child all because he reinforced the divine right of kings bullshit. She had limited information and a lot of skills. She was only taught that violence gets you whatever you want and only the strong can survive. She now knows it’s wrong and wants to do better and constantly beats herself up for it. And to be honest, some of what she thought back then was right. Ethan didn’t pick her because he was a love sick puppy, he picked her because he knew she was the best person to rule the empire. That was until she lost her mind after being rejected by her husband and eventually losing him. Now the MC knows she doesn’t have to use violence to get what she wants and intends to make her brother a better emperor and help people in any way she can.
Leave your opinions if you want to but you clearly don’t understand the story. Sorry if you were raised in a corrupt system where the emperor decides who lives and dies and had to literally kill to survive that you would have a perfect moral code and never do no wrong. Unfortunately most people turn out awful, terrible people in that situation. The MC was not born evil. Any one of us in her situation could have done the same awful things. That’s the point of the story. And as the story progresses you’ll learn: her husband did love her, she did do valuable things for the empire, and is continuing to unlearn the harmful things she grew up learning so she can be a better person.
