^a lot of that is easier said than done. dk why people expect so much but look at the facts: dorothy is an adult woman in a child’s body but she hardly had the chance to develop out of her complex in the last life and let greed and vengeance take her away. in a way she’s been regressing long before going back in time. ray is a bit of a dummy but he’s a child – he’s the first son actually. that’s not something he can control. context is important and we’re reading a story set where first sons (especially royalty) were considerably more important. ray is a good kid, a bit naive, but with loving intentions. theon also gets some unnecessary hate imo. he’s also a kid – granted more mature than ray, but still. he’s astute enough to assume things are related to him, he’s patient without pushing, and he’s understanding. he’s being given a chance to develop and look at Dorothy on his own, without her forcefulness from their last lives.
people are forgetting to separate the lives of different timelines except for the FLs, as she’s the only one currently aware of both. she was stuck for so long in her hate in the past that it’s hard to let go, even in the new timeline. so yeah she romanticizes a bit of her interactions with theon – maybe consider their past? she loved the guy so much that she forced her love onto him, enough to suffocate him to die in her bedroom. whether or not her love was pure, her hate ruined her so much that she couldn’t tell the difference, barely knew what love was. so of course she still might love theon. unresolved feelings are a thing. these characters are extremely multifaceted which is a nice change in a romance manhwa. it would be a shame to let that be lost to assumptions and single minded thinking

Dorothea wasn’t really bad In her past life and I’m not trying to say that her feelings are fake it’s just that she was in need of someone to love her and when theon? Showed her kindness she might have mistaken it as love And decided to seek love from him. There is a similar situation in “the villainess attack story” it’s not said if she really loved him she just wanted his attention since he was the only one who was kind to her. See how these situations are the same? Unlike the mc from that story Dorothea has a brother who’s completely adored by her father. In most cases it’s a fight for the crown but since ray is the only son the emperor decided to play favorites who made a big impact on how Dorothea feels about ray. I could say she seems a little uncomfortable around him constantly telling him to leaver her but he doesn’t want to, which drives Dorothea to move from him. But ray is very spoiled and to me seems like the can’t fake no for an answer and everything he dose just makes everything worse. But ray is a child and so is Dorothea (except Dorothea is now an adult in a child’s body with a new mindset of a child) they are both kids and need to sort it out when they are comfortable. There is no need for any “but ray is so annoying” or “Dorothea Is just so annoying” there is no need for all of that
