Also, please remember she did not want to go back from the first time. It was a condition so that the orphanage she was in get better treatment with the new rightful head. Normalize going with the plot guys
LMAO some of these comments are so funny. PTSD patients dont just simply recover from their trauma out of the blue. Also she didnt simply changed room. She is currently SURROUNDED by people who made her life miserable and living in the same house where she was reduced to a useless being. The same mansion where she was eventually locked away in the prison and died. In the first place she refused to go back, in fact she thought death in her past life was her best option. She clearly cant sleep in that room because its giving her nightmares, how is that being stubborn?
bless the people who are actually using their brains while reading this, and shame on the ones complaining about the pacing again. you need to fucking remember that yes, everyone deals with trauma differently and whatever YOU think is the “right” way to do it, is NOT the same for her. unless you’ve quite literally been emotionally abused and mistreated all your life that you had to kill yourself to feel some autonomy, only to literally reincarnate into the very place that tormented you, you can keep your fucking mouth shut. the tags are never completely accurate either. this story is an emotional journey before its a physical one, so if you can’t have the patience nor human empathy to read this, get the fuck out of here and take your negativity and clear inability for basic comprehension with you
FL being weak is unbearable now or getting annoying. The FL in can we become a family and monster duchess and contract princess experience way worst than her but they know how to stand up for themselves even tho they have trauma. I hope she will have character development coz if not I hope the author isn’t a wonan coz imagine writing a novel with a female lead then underwhelming them like they can’t do anything without men is seriously disgusting.

I agree that trauma takes as long as it takes, but I also agree that the pacing of the STORY is off.
We don’t have to SEE every day she’s living her life. Having time skips to show the slow progression of her recovery and the relationships with her family would be sufficient to give her time to recover AND also not bore the average reader to tears.
The problem isn’t that the story parts we’re seeing aren’t important, it’s that they’re being presented in a lacklustre way that isn’t entertaining. It’s a story, it’s meant to entertain. That’s the point of it.
The FL is slowly getting on my nerves. Seriously? What a waste of regression. What happened on her first life was mainly her fault for being gullible and way too naive.
She only went with what the duke because she felt like she owed him in exchange for promoting Lisa to the President position, which would ensure the other orphans are properly being cared for and loved. She also accepted that in her world, there would be others willing to hurt or use her, so he could offer protection. This wasn’t a choice she wanted to make, but a choice she felt she had too. My girl got ptsd, a weak body, and no good sleep. Giver her a break. She’s stressed the fuck out.
