I’m pretty sure it’s a miss translation because I’m sure that in the novel it’s a boy and a girl as the twins. Even for the art style they made them with the same frame works as those of a little girl and little boy respectably. Also, this ain’t woke enough to make it about trans people or like tomboy-ish expression if that makes sense. I might be wrong but for now I believe this is just a mistranslation.
