Hmm …..I don’t like the prince….I mean she just saw her dead father’s body hanged from a building….Lost everything…Nearly drowned in a bucket of water…Starved ….She was a princess and lived a privileged life where she was doted on…She knew nothing of the real world….She was sheltered, ignorant and spoiled….Her kingdom kept slaves….Now’s heading back to be his slave?? He had no right to tell her off….Also the prince’s father is strange, keep her alive as a slave or princess?? Hmm and he was the one who praised her for being one of the smartest people? How about getting her into a safe place and keep her alive as a commoner under a new name and life far away?? Gonna hope the girl becomes strong and amazing! And that Jax guy can go to hell.
It’s a very typical trope, to think you can work your way up from inside the system. The girl should have died or left. The only place this works, where you can work hard enough that masters suddenly love you, is in poorly written fairy tales.
