Ok, but what stain in his reputation? Did the FL forget the fact that the ML killed countless concubines when his madness took over? If that’s not a failing and a stain, I don’t know what is! And let’s not forget that as sweet as he is and as bad as his childhood was, he didn’t care about killing those innocent girls as collateral to pressure powerful men. Why didn’t he ask for the sons of those powerful men themselves? Why not ask for sacrifices rather than girls, then?
I’m happy the FL is now questioning the logic (or lack thereof) of the concubine system and seems to wish to change it. And of course, i am glad she also sees it as unfair, that she belongs to him but he doesn’t really belong to her. (Not that belonging to someone should be view as romantic in the first place, but that’s me just nitpicking).
