Tbh I kind of didn’t like Rose while reading the novel. If I was in her place I would’ve just told her that everyone in the family actually loves her older sister and also smack the sh!t out of Gabriel so that he could propose Hildea quickly
Man, Hildea has the worst timing. She only hears the bad but never stays long enough to see/hear people defending her. Also, that is so odd that outside rumors blame the older sibling as the curse that killed the mom instead of the younger sister. It’s usual the one being born that gets unjustly blamed. I wonder why that shift is there.
