Yepp I had this doubt too but now I feel like the duke already knew that she’s a girl right from the very beginning when he first kissed her and that’s why he chose her to be his personal attendant and cares for her more than anyone else because at first he started as an amusing and entertaining thing by teasing her but slowly he fell for her hard he’s already in love with her fully aware that she’s a girl
