Aww, the psychopath who doesn’t give a crap about anybody but himself wants somebody else to give a crap about him. I shall play the world’s smallest violin for his plight.
If the author wanted audiences to sympathize with Azar, then they shouldn’t have had him betray and kill the MC’s parents on a whim, and then display 0 remorse for his actions while simultaneously expecting the MC to come around to him. He’s so grossss!
Not human. So why should it follow human morality? Especially since all humans ever did to it was physically torture it for their own profit, then abandon it to an eternity of physical and emotional pain? Exactly how is that treatment supposed to create a healthy psyche? I’m pretty sure if Azar wasn’t horrifically tortured, it might have a less unstable personality. But it should follow human morality after centuries of torment because why, exactly?
People forgiving the emperor after he murdered FL’s parents in front of her, tortured her, and abducted her is beyond me. His acts were cruel and horrific, and there is no way to excuse what he did, no matter what the circumstances were.
