I don’t get why they would hate on Carcel. Yes, he has lots of women (although this is not really proven [i think? i think he just made that up so that Ines could hear of his proclivities and have her break the engagement]) in the past but once he got married to Ines he has been the best husband one can have/can be. He’s attentive to Ines, tries to understand her, and loves her wholeheartedly. He never creates misunderstandings that could make Ines hate him. Why the hate people?
Married Carcel is peak husband tbh. and yes he is flawed and yes Ines did manipulate him throughout their entire lvies together (this timeline) to force him to believe that she didnt care about him or anything and that messed his head up hence why we went to other women. however, dude is a 10/10 green flag husband and has been sincere and attentive and kind with flakes of jealousy and he satisfies her in bed to the point where she actually initiates it sometimes. she is now slowly internally battling the thought of seeking another woman for him, or to slowly open up and trust and accept his feelings for her.

He slept with many women to the point our MC even saw him doing the deeds with girls and he back then would purposely do it front of her because he was mad that she said she loved him but didn’t show it (because she chose him to be her husband) also she did not manipulate him what the fuck are you guys talking about? She literally chose him to be her husband as kids and he didn’t think much of it until people pointed it out on why she chose him instead of the prince and because he was told by her that she found him cute, he thought she would be head over heels, and got angrier the more he allowed himself to listen to stupid folks saying “oh you are in this marriage for no reason” so to humiliate her and indulge in his ego he slept with many women, to the point it was common for him to do it in front of her. I’m not hating on him (i am) but Emelio is better than him and I would prefer Emelio over him because MC truly loves him and had a freaking child with him but because of status and her freaking brother killing both her lover and child in front of her she doesn’t want to love anyone again. My point is I PREFER EM and that’s my opinion and if yall want to call people haters just because they don’t like the ML then I don’t know how ya’ll handle people’s opinion without labeling them a hater. I personally wouldn’t like to be with a man who purposely slept with many women to get me mad and then proceed to sleep with me. It’s literally implied in the novel that the only reason why she isn’t saying anything or complaining with ML deciding to rawdog her because he’s in the “mood” is because she believes in traditional roles (for freaking sake she even said it in the freaking manhua that a man is man is he is allowed to choose when he sleeps with a women; why do you think she never complained to anyone that the prince would freaking r@pe her all the damn time?) I mean, I’m too much but the author is really downplaying this whole “ML sleeping with MC”. Everyone viewing it as a steamy hot night but who always starts/ends it?? the ml never once the MC started the move and half of yall will come at me with “but she looks in love” because the author will obviously make their characters do that because it’s fantasize that way and appeals readers, in real life that’s a shitload of shit. And of course, all of this is my opinion and ya’ll can say the hell ya’ll want ?

Honestly, I see comments like this all the time. The MC could literally be being tortured by the ML and as long as the ML is hot and says a nice thing every once in a while, commenters will say that he deserves love and the MC is just being dramatic!
Not that Carcel is that bad, but the amount of yall who just ignore her trauma and think she is obliged to love him just because he loves her is ridiculous. He is not too bad, especially compared to her past partners, and if you just look at only this life like many of the background characters, it would make sense that she would fall for him. But we, as the audience, know what she has gone through and should know better why she has such trepidations around falling in love.
We don’t hate Carcel, we are just wanting the MC to heal and take things at her own pace. No one should be forced to have feelings for someone else just because the other person feels they are entitled to those feelings. Carcel understands that, so why can’t yall?
