I think she fell asleep and is going through her past memories. To the people who say they love her or care about her. Here she is sitting there bruised and beaten and her brother is telling her to endure. The whole family is trash.
I’m so disappointed with who the ML is because I really wished it was Em. Also, to the family that claimed to love her – THEY DON’T!, they love what they gain by using her, but not her. Her brother not only killed her lover whom she truly absolutely loves, but her newborn child IN FRONT OF HER! And when she woke up in another life, she attacked her brother by choking/punching him for the anguish he presented upon her and her father smacked her. (Her mother also presented her an eating disorder) Love shown through violence isn’t love but one’s own desperation to control someone. I don’t love ML and I know I should be giving him a second chance, but given the horrible circumstances of her multiple lives, he was a whore who slept with women to humiliate her all because she chose him but didn’t convey her love for him- (like no shit Sherlock- you didn’t love her at the time, you were just pissed that she wasn’t acting like other girls salivating for you and and wasn’t wanting to sleep with you and that she was “different” – heck you even made fun of her wearing black clothing when to us readers, it’s a depressing symbolism of her multiple sad lives and the lost of her child) and although he does love her (or does he? it gets revealed in chapters with a slight twist) I can’t seem to get passed that especially when MC still loves EM and doesn’t want to be with ML but the author always seems to somehow make the once trashy ML into a “favorable” one and of course, the Female MC falls in love. Realistically, she would have broken enough that she wouldn’t care. But stories like these are always romanticized and turned into something else. I understand that ML is better than the horrible/truly evil prince, but he is no better- and I cheer for EM. And plot twist, EM remembers his last life with MC and their love which makes this whole thing even more heartbreaking and disappointing. To say that this story should have focused with MC finding peace rather than her husband who acts like a beast raw-dogging her every now and than without her wanting it (she really doesn’t pull the first move, and she’s been saying in chapters that situations like these, the man is the man and the women should give in. I’m not calling him a rapist, but were really downplaying these sexual encounters but a lot of readers fetish this when in reality, if some girl was arranged into a marriage into modern society and he slept with her whenever he felt like it, would it been deemed morally right? I didn’t think so..) I would be slammed with the whole “don’t read if you don’t like it” or “well during this time it was normal”. The only reason I’m continuing to read this is because of the MC. THANK YOU for reading my comment and I’m open to any reasoning but at the end of the day, some things I’ve said may not be right and I would love to learn more about perspectives! to be honest i was rooting for the ML and give him a second chance but he acted like a dickhead .
I’m not gonna defend th FL also but it’s fucked up because what he did trigger her past trauma.I am verry disappointed in his action .He could do better than this.
