I have a whole theory that the king is behind her curse and was the one that tried to r*pe her. Especially bc prior to this whole incident she called him brother (which he clearly did not like bc he’s sick in the head and is in love with his sister) and also just a few tells in episodes prior. Now he’s covering up the whole ordeal bc he was the intruder, that’s why he looks sinister (imo). Also if you think about it this is also why he’s so adamant on Mc not going to the monastery.
