How could they both know the other didn’t go? Did she agree to elope despite not wanting to?
I just can’t get to like this character. The author may think he’s building suspense by hiding why the character acts the way they act behind flash-backs, but it just makes her look erratic.
Why were they together if they knew they couldn’t end up together or didn’t want to? She knew he was engaged and had a fiancée but still continued to see him. They both aren’t that likable right now.
I guess I’m in the minority that actually likes them ? it’s interesting to have an FL that’s neither naive nor jaded, but right in the middle – realistic and not overbearingly an “FL.” it’s seems her and Percival had an unspoken agreement on their fleeting relationship but that they both tested to see how deep these feelings ran and in the end, the fascinating thing is that they are BOTH aware of their surface level arrangement (and this is kinda refreshing imo). short, mutually beneficial relationships exist and it’s nice to see that both sides had the same idea – but it certainly seems Percival didn’t completely expect this so it’s piqued his interest/left some questions unanswered
^^ i like her too, she aint perfect but she’s realistic. I’ll be real, i dont like the idea she’s in relationship knowing he had a fiance, thats wrong in every way. But for all we know, it could be strictly political/arranged marriage considering he’s engaged with her since birth and above all, she’s aware she was young and these were all nothing but fleeting/foolish feelings in the past.
