I really like Alfonso, he’s put in a difficult position, being a young successor to the throne,
a prince controlled by his duty,
he’s overall a nice character who as far as we know led a pretty good life up to this point.
But right now I enjoy Cesare more, he’s just more interesting even as a guy who is mainly portrait as thrash.
That’s the beauty of character development.
I like the idea that him and Ari did bad things in their past life and now they are both changing and getting “better” despite the fact that they still pursue their selfish goals on a surface level.
Cesare changing?!? I mean come on he only proposed to her because he saw Alfonso wanted her as well, and of all women that Cesare has flirted with only the FL who treated him badly and didn’t mesmerized by his beauty, so for him it’s interesting and everything was kinda fun and pretty new experience in terms of emotions.

Caesar has NOT changed. Idky everyone thinks that. He is the exact same only this time, he wants Ari. And he ONLY wanted Ari because he knew Alfonso likes her. Up until then, he was begging Ari’s sister to marry him. Him liking the FL doesn’t make him a changed and renewed man. Ari also didn’t horrible things in her last life but she is actively improving and trying to do better. THAT is actual change. Caesar being the same douchebag he was before and only like Ari now does not make him a changed man.
i feel like the parents are to blame for why both brothers act this way although it’s not a free pass to be a bad person, it does explain their personalities. I’m on team Alfonso because I feel he genuinely loves the fl while Ceaser is only seeing what he will gain from being with her. he’s obsessed because she doesn’t like him back but we all know if she were easy it would be like their past life all over again.

I’m surprised you were able to get off the floor after being stood on for so long. why must these authors make the “evil” ones so hot its unfair. anyway, fl you starting to make me hate you more and more as the days go on. I know your hurt I get that he was terrible but also. so far in this life. he saw you stand up for yourself, shouted out your opinion to people and an art auction, saved you from falling off a cliff, didn’t leave you behind to find the deer he has been looking for his entire life to prove himself to his family, gave you actually really thoughtful notes, sent you mask when you were in dire need for a new one, and pledged his love to you. really I don’t see why you must be cruel to him. you guys have had good run-ins so far. (other than the art one) and he hasn’t been evil in this timeline. He’s just a handsome man with an inner child that didn’t have the chance to grow up because he was stuck as the least worthy child in the family just because the father couldn’t control themselves around other women. Isn’t that your exact past? he wants love which is easy to understand because I’m sure he hasn’t felt love in a long time. he also seems ready to change for you. I get not wanting to be with him because you would be haunted by the things he did to you in your past life, but you don’t have to be a b**ch toward him. I read your comment and first, he never actually spoke out on this action of loving the sister. he met her the same day when our fl started yelling at a preacher (I skipped most of that chapter I didn’t understand what was happening other than our fl being bad***) so he never had the chance to fawn over here. and yes I did like the chapter when fl and goldy locks were dancing in white dresses or when he ran after her in the garden but also out fl as much as I find her really fun to watch as the overtakes challenges, she hasn’t “grown” there was no growth. in my opinion, all she did was get better assets and better connections. that not growing herself she’s just using her foresight of knowing the events of the future to her attachment (as we all would) also Cesare has grown and you can see it in how they act towards each other. she wouldn’t fall in love with the same jerk as before but you can see that she slowly (extremely slowly) doesn’t become as uptight around him. he also showed growth in the event where the deer appeared. remember all Cesare wanted was a family and when he realized he couldn’t have that he decided he wanted power to be safe and not be pushed around by everyone. the past Cesare would defiantly leave the fl to get the deer because the past Cesare was obsessed with the crown. but as we get farther into the story you see him care less and less. he still wants it but he’s learning that he needs to put people he cares about first, before his greed. and again Ari’s not doing better she’s just doing smarter. she saved that kid not because she cared for her but because 1 she needed someone on the inside and 2 she would become an easy person to gain loyalty from. which she needed at the time. she also didn’t approach the prince out of love but out of the fact she thought he would be a useful leverage if he were on her side. she has yet to do something truly out of the goodwill of her own heart and has only made decisions based on gain for herself. which is totally understandable with the potion she’s in for the family but it slightly ticks me off that you guys are saying she’s growing. maybe in their thought processes on how she should use her energy but not in the heart. also yes I’m sure she loves the maid now but she never approached her in the first place out of pity or kindness.

So I would say he’s changing in the fact that his actions are not all used for power. did you not see the way he stared at the note from her the way he stood up for her? why act in the safety of his own home? why be bashful and flustered at the note he was given from her when she was not around? you could easily say that the nice things he’s done so far are to make her love him more but even when no one watching you can truly tell that he’s falling for her. he may have approached her because yes, he thought she was his brother’s lover. but actually, the person you are in love with, think about it. why did you go up to them? why did you choose to take an interest in them? the man I’m in love with I wanted to date a guy for a while wait till I was bored and moved on. I was trying to prove a point to a friend that I could pick up a man on the spot (which I did very successfully btw) but he turned out to be amazing and a small bet on his feelings turned into an obsession that turned into a 9-month rs. people do things to gain a lot and I know that claim basically cancels out my claim about fl’s growth so ill admit it. She’s definitely grown justttt not that much. did you see the scene where she was talking to his brother next to the fountain? he was sad, he looked disappointed. no man who uses a woman for gain for himself would look at her the way he does.
