These few first chapters have already healed my accumulated frustration from all the other manhwas I’ve read, it’s the most satisfying shit I’ve ever read. I love her mindset and how she just outright says everything she had always wanted to say with no fear and how she is determined to do everything she wants with no hesitation and doesn’t have to act weak it’s really rare to see female leads like that in this genre despite how popular it is.
I don’t think you guys are understanding that all three of them have been grieving ever since the queen died. Regina grieved by trying to support her little brother, Theor grieved by doing anything and everything he could to get the correct attention from his family, and the Emeperor grieved by being strict with his daughter and overly lenient with his son, essentially neglecting them both. Theor’s reaction to his father calling him pitiful was anger and overall hurt. He wanted his father to treat him as a son, not a small starving animal picked up off the street. Regina spent her life trying to protect the last part of her mother. The issue is that she didn’t know how to be a sister, so she just cleaned up her brother’s messes and tried to prevent him from completely collapsing. The Emperor thought he was doing what was best for his son because he wasn’t blaming him for the queen’s death. He completely forgot, or maybe ignored, the fact that he had a daughter who had not just lost her mother, but watched her die. Anyways, the whole family is just as messed up as any going through grief.
I don’t even get it why he was angry with her? Normally fathers in manwha always got angry with new born baby who cost their wives life. Just because she witnessed her mother dying and his blaming her because o f that?!? ??♀️?
