So this is my theory. What if, duran really caused her to repeat life because in her first life she died. He does love her but too awk to say anything and he also knows she doesnt like him so he let go. Anyway, she died and he wants her to be happy no matter what so he kept causing this repetition everytime she died. He might be oblivious to the fact that fl remembers everything, so he kept doing shit the same way. But on her 117th life, she changed and he’s just trying to protect fl thinking its for her happiness.
