I’m a med student and when I was in undergrad, I took classes in sociology in medicine. in the old days, infertility tests didn’t exist and because men produce sperm throughout their lifetimes and women menstruate and lose eggs monthly, it was easier to believe that women were the infertile ones. you wouldn’t know unless either party tried to have children with other people. didn’t help that trashta was already pregnant before he met her
