The way i understood it is that the elf was testing him to see if he was interesting in a medicine that would slowly kill Ran. But the ML didn’t seem all that interested in the medicine, so the Elf felt reassured that he wasn’t a danger to Ran.
okay, i see some folks that cant quite get a grip at yus and that elfs conversation so, ;
the elf was trying to test yus if he plans to endanger ran by talking about medicine to weaken her, yus in the other hand did not budge and somehow proved that he mean no harm to ran. the elf was reliefed because he is on rans side. (did i make that clear enough?)
