I don’t know how to explain how I feel or the lack of when I read this ??? the only word that comes to mind is shallow.
You know when a story just doesn’t connect. Maybe the dialogue. Idk it just doesn’t relay much feelings.
Or maybe it’s just the last updates cuz it’s been a while since the last but I don’t remember being deeply moved by anything in this story.
I get the same feeling of disconnect. I think the problem is that both the ML and FL are wrapped in such a thick layer of plot armor that the stakes feel inconsequential. Like take this part of disabling the magic, the FL was so confident we know she’ll succeed. However, had she been afraid yet still confronted the issue, we would’ve felt more emotional. Being strong isn’t about being invulnerable after all. That’s just lazy writing.
