It seems like Storoni had poisoned Kalmia as well in the first timeline. Storoni and Kalmia were lovers then, and he did have a twisted love/obsession for her, but he decided to kill her so he wouldn’t be chained by his feelings for her. However, he regretted it and went insane afterwards, preserving her corpse and trying to resurrect her.

I’ve read up to 8 chapters and I’m dropping this because I think FL is thinks too highly of herself and too much of an idiot to improve herself. She keeps finding thing that she didn’t know from her previous life and she always learns them through someone else. She is too pasif. She doesn’t try to learn these and she never tries to make herself seen with her talents.
If you wanna read a better version of this there is one similar i thing its name was ‘ I will be the marchioness in this life’ or something along those lines

I think she is immature and childish because Sotroni basically groomed her into being the puppet successor- keeping her docile but completely loyal to him by appeasing her, praising her, and keeping her guard down so that he could do what he wanted. Originally, I don’t think she wanted to be a successor, that only came after Eulla’s death accompanied by the childish deserve to prove to everyone that she could be a good successor. Honestly, it’s tragic. I really hate her character but I hope this is a wake up call that opens her eyes and she becomes a strong, cunning FL.

Oops it was in the chapter before but it was still on my mind because if he was a “good” father for that era even if he didn’t intend to have her become the sucessor bc sexism, he would have still tried to bring up a daughter who’s not lacking in manners and etiquette to attract good marriage candidates but mostly to not lower the honor of the house.

I can sympathize if the author is trying to make this FL strong willed and self reliant. But this FL is stupid and that’s a turn off. She had the dual epiphanies of being naively controlled and of not having her own goals explaining why being heir apparent is necessary. But, nothing came of that. She’s got plenty of allies to help her achieve goals but she doesn’t have any…other than reading locked books which still will not change her father’s mind abd therefore not change her future. The people around her are doing the heavy lifting and she’s oblivious as a rock.

You know what, I was going to drop this because I thought it wasn’t going to be addressed, but I’m so glad this he pointed all that out to her. This girl was really annoying me because the only thing she seems to care about is the position of being the successor, and nothing more. She has no other thoughts of how to get there, except killing her brother, she has no goals she wants to reach once she has it, she has no plan. Nothing. She was getting so one dimensional but hopefully she grows up and immature, and stop thinking that Ellua has to die just so she can get the position. Idk if it’s the translations but when she brought up Ellua having to die in this chapter I wanted to scream. Why don’t you put in effort and prove yourself. You’re mad at the father but have you even shown interest in the position to him or asked? How would he know otherwise
