    You can’t expect a person who pretty much threw away his emotions (and time) to show love right off the bat.
    Perhaps he needs time?
    So does that mean so far we only have one ML?
    Since it looks like the other white haired guy is her half brother?

    The more we learn, the stranger her mother’s motivation becomes. Had she planned to switch the babies already when she participated in the experiment? From what they say here, it was the mother that refused to have her be raised in the facility, which would have been the expected result. So she had a child (by some artificial means they don’t describe in detail), kept it, then immediately switched it for another?

    The logistics of the switch itself are also very strange. How does someone who had a baby one day before (or close enough, we are told she is one day older than the real princess but not when exactly they were switched) manages to gain access to the newly born princess, while carrying another baby, and switch them? I don’t know if the chaos of the queen dying in childbirth played in her favor or not.

    Also, was she aware while switching the babies that her “friend” had actually died? Imagine being so jealous of someone who died, that you continue with your plan to mess with their children out of spite. And why would she be jealous in the first place? Why did she think she could have had a claim to that spot? Or was she just resentful for her “friend” doing better in life (right up until she died)?

    Ive read spoilers and the father isnt a bad father. Theres just… Reasons that is reasonable that I do not know how to explain bc as of now Im afraid of everything even the slightest bit of comments about what I have said. I hate it when people retaliate me so I lose motivation to comment on what I actually want to say about the certain story or chapter

    @Kian we are actually told the exact circumstances of the switch. They gave birth at the same time and place. That difference of a day is probably a difference of a few minutes or hours (like 23:02 and 2:57, just a few hours but theoretically different days)

    I don’t think she went to the experiment having this plan already in mind, it would have been impossible to know when the empress was getting pregnant, so she either liked leguin at some point or had a different reason. What I think happened is that the due dates being so close together was a coincidence. I also believe from her interaction with the Emperor that she was in love with him and basically saw the empress as a thief for taking him from her and the pregnancy was just the last straw, so she wanted to punish her (even in death) by taking away her child + keeping a piece of the emperor with her. She didn’t care that much about phil because she is leguin’s daughter and thought she would live a good life in the palace
