So Katherine was killed for her crime, Philomel branded a criminal, and Elincia immediately accepted as the princess. However now he cares for Philomel. Because of that, he has trouble accepting Elincia as his daughter. Additionally, Katherine looks similar to Philomel, so he couldn’t bring himself to kill her.
As for why she betrayed Isabella, it’s not very clear. Apparently she had an inferiority complex, which is really disappointing. Still no word of how she got pregnant in the first place.
I knew I was gonna be wrong but I still hoped I wasn’t.
She just wanted to live and did her best to get him to love her.
What is she gonna do now?
Is he gonna continue to look for her?

For those who are confused with the last panel, I read in some other translations that the emperor said that she looked like his daughter. That’s why he did not kill her, because she resembled Philomel.

Oh I hate that Elincia is calling the emperor dad so easily. I don’t think he’s spoken directly to her let alone acknowledged that she is his daughter. Meanwhile he’s desperately searching for Philomel. Elincia is acting as if she’s already got a father-daughter bond with him.
I don’t think she’s malicious but she’s the most brainless character I’ve seen in a while
Not going into details, but the emperor is looking for phil because he loves her. He will beg her to accept being his adopted daughter later and near the story he apparently falls on his knees for her (can’t wait for that)
And Elincia calling him dad already is sus and unpleasant. It’s not just us being biased against Elinicia, there’s is something wrong going on with her

I’ve read somewhere that elinca the blonde one is reincarnated and she wrote the book of prophecy. Tbh Don’t really know what to think of her
I think the most interesting thing is that the first timelines is in a book so was it truly a sign of the future or was it just one of the path Philomel could’ve went down? Also don’t like how Elicina calling him Dad so fast. Even children don’t truly warm up to strangers that fast
I think Isabella wanted to go back to the lake with Katherine before their babies were born, but the emperor refused. That’s seems similar to what she was trying to say?
I don’t know why people think he was to kill phil. She’s the person he most depends on. She’s kinda his other half now. He probably couldn’t survive without her. I bet if he finds out about the book of prophecy that will be wild and he might get screwed up is he realizes she made the plan to survive at all cost and how she never really got to be herself or actually called close to anybody her whole life. It was a decade long genius scheme. That was more intricate than anybody could ever imagine, or seem to be possible in that world. She should just be the emperor lol she’d make a better. She’s so smart they should’ve been able to tell she didn’t get any of that from them one. ?? I don’t know if any of these theories will come true, but it sounds pretty nice to me.
I’ve liked the emperor for a majority of this story, solidified by spoilers. he’s a good emperor and a struggling father but he’s not bad. and it seriously bothers me how flowery elincia is acting through all this, like it’s not the damn time to be acting the way she is. ik the book was a fanfic but if the blonde is really the author then she’s about to catch these hands
