What I love about this manhwa is the silence, without the conversations when the moment is intense, just their expression and the moment. Especially with the Grand Duke who rarely shows emotions, when he changes his expression that’s when the scene reached its peak.
@Grimmy me too! I’ve been geeking out about it this entire story but the silent panels are magnificently done. and it suits the slow burn. I like how instead of only angling the duke as standoffish and cold, there’s a lot of gentleness and shyness and hesitation quite literally written on his face as he addresses Pereshati and that drives the slowness and sweetness home. in contrast, it makes changes in his expression and feelings – like this urgency and fear – even more impactful without littering the pages with text bubbles and thought bubbles. it’s excellent story telling. I haven’t seen another artist do such clear, slow “falling in love” with such little text and it takes skill
