I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the artist is a master at handling evocative work. silent, textless panels, turned away yet expressive heads, and scene framing are all incredibly done. it says so much without saying anything at all and is equivalent to reading in between the lines in a novel. it makes the slow burn of this manhwa less “slow” (in that there isn’t a lot of meaningless talking and clutter). everything is purposeful and it’s wonderful watching the very slight but obvious ease in Peresati’s stance and relationships in this household
Like laora said, even though it’s a slowburn, it is not at all meaninglessly slow. You dont feel the slow-pacing because even through the silent panels, you can feel the tension, and it draws you in and keeps you focused. Most of the time (especially the more recent manhwas), it’s either way too fast-paced to the point that it made no sense and too many scene jumping, or too slow because of unnecessary information dumping/irrelevant interaction.
