I’m glad selfie just let it all out, because he is right–how was he supposed to interpret the situation when the Duke never even spoke/looked at him when visiting him? Similarly, I’m so disappointed that the manwha made Sasha so passive! In the novel, she is more active–physically and verbally! Like, she advocates so much more for Selphie in the novel yet the manwha makes her off to be a side character. It’s a crying shame!
it’s definitely a shame but I think I don’t particularly mind for now. this current situation is between selfius and the grand Duke and we know the duchess and selfius are very close so there isn’t more that needs to be said. actually her quiet presence is very powerful because she’s in a space where both guys are vulnerable. the many silent panels do a beautiful job of articulating the spaces and ambience in the scenes. this story is doing a fantastic job of building the relationships and it makes the slow pace worth it
She can’t possibly just express her opinion or feelings specially in this kind of situation. But her being in that conversation with Duke & selfius makes her more aware about how the Duke and Selfius really feel, it shows her how hurt our baby was ?. Then that might be one of the reasons that she’ll stay because our ml is not doing anything yet to make our fl fall in love ?
I’m glad Selfius and the Duke had this conversation, as neglect is a form or abuse. It also shows the importance of communication and the absence of. So healing can now commence. At the very least, I like that the ML isn’t perfect and he doesn’t let pride get in the way of acknowledging when he’s done wrong and doing his best to make up for it.
