I get your frustration but try to understand that she loves her child more than anything, her child gave her hope during her lowest. Her child became the reason lived and grew into a wonderful woman. And she still doesn’t know that her child sacrificed herself for her(mc), Even when the possibility was told to her she dismissed it by saying that her child hasn’t reached that level. When she came back she didn’t have the mentality of a wife or woman but had a mentality of a mother.
We know the part of her child so we dishearten by her action (which is also reasonable) but she doesn’t, which make it sad enough.
She probably just wants her daughter back and a mother’s love will never leave when it comes to their child/children. I think she should just tell him the truth so that she can get it off her chest. The daughter chose to give her mom a second chance of being happy and the MC isn’t aware of that.

she should’ve never talked to him i get that she wants to meet her kid but that meant she should’ve never involved herself with him to leave him.
