Hum guys she is a 40+ years old soul who had a daughter suddenly brought back in a timeline when she’s back in her twenties… she wants her daughter back, it’s natural omg don’t you guys understand what being a mother is supposed to be or what ??
Allow me to explain something to the people saying ‘she’s a mother who loves her child, it’s only natural!’.
The reason everyone is calling her stupid and selfish is not because she wants her child back. It’s because of these reasons:
1. Her child communicated with her that she wanted her to live her second life for herself and be happy. Do you have any idea how miserable a kid has got to be to say ‘mom don’t ruin your life to make me exist’? Do you think her childhood, no matter how happy it was, was all sunshine and rainbows with a grandma who constantly bullied her mother and parents who didn’t even like each other?
She didn’t listen to her child’s desires. She has no thought to do so. To respect her wishes. So she is, in fact, only thinking of herself. Because-
2. She also knows her husband was miserable and pining for someone he really loved when they got married. And yet she wants to put him through that again? For a baby that doesn’t want to exist?
3. She half-assed things. She went out with Schdermal, gave him hope and then chickened out halfway through, creating a really painful and fucked up situation for both of them. She should’ve either never done it and committed to her plans, or done as her daughter wished from the beginning.
Now, none of this means it’s a bad story. This is actually a fascinating conflict. People are booing her because they CARE about the outcome of the story and are invested in what happens next. I think myself that people are flawed and showing those flaws is fine. But that doesn’t mean you don’t criticize the person. It’s a FLAW, it’s meant to be criticized.
