Damn. @Patheta, that is not true at all. The difference between the two is that they have different goals. He could endure his pain because he wanted to survive. She doesn’t care about surviving because she sees absolutely no point, and just wants to end it. It’s not a gender thing, it’s a difference in struggle and thinking. I mean would you want to continue living when your husband has all the power in the country and uses it to humiliate, emotionally torture, spy, and break you every chance he has all the while threatening you. She legit had a miscarriage and the only thing he could do was give her an empty, insincere apology. I think that was the catalyst to her downfall because the only reason she wanted a child was so her relationship with him would better and things would go back to “normal” but now she has realized he changed and so did she along with everything else. She is so broken now, she doesn’t want anything but death because it’s a release for her. At least his suffering stopped and he was only left with physical and mental scars, but her suffering is ongoing. Girl can’t get a break. He hates her, society hates her, and her family is dead. The only thing she has left is herself and she not only blames herself for everything, but has realized she hates living and since she can’t run away from him, this is her release. Fucked up, but I think she should die so she can finally get away from the monster.
Again as I wrote in an earlier comment and what she herself said in the previous chapter. He does not believe she can be hurt. He really doesn’t believe she’s a human that can make her own decisions and decide when she is done. He belives she hasn’t changed. The fact that she only ahrees with you and doesn’t talk is not good. But that is what he thinks she should do. She isn’t a human to him
