South Korea – has a “no body insurance” regulation tied to a persons life insurance, meaning that if foul play was involved in a persons death, then a body must be available for an autopsy… So, if her husband decided to try to “hide” the fact that they killed her by hiding her body then he would never be able to get her insurance, also while not having the insurance money. He’d also receive “her debt”(hospitals, etc…) since in that country debt isn’t just gone when someone dies. Depending on the person, it can go to there siblings, parents, or spouse.
2. If her husband and “friend” decided to “stage a robbery” and make it seem like a cancer patient walked in on a robbery and got killed that way, it would also be super unrealistic in a complex as small as the one the MC lived in. Then there’s the phone messages and such, so if any competent police or prosecutor got this case, it might take a bit for all the puzzle to fit, but they’d see the husband or “friend” killed her.
