It’s not that Natasha can’t feel emotions, it’s just that she only cares about herself, ooh, look at me, I’m special, no ones better than me, so I can act and do whatever I want, and her dad, he thinks that when he sold her off to be married that, that was the only time he put her sister first, let him see him get treated like that if he had a brother, see how long he likes it, and notice how now she’s jealous that such a great and guy who is I’ll bet stronger than her, is her sisters husband, not only that, looks like he’s the first adult person not to fawn all over her just because she’s a little good at magic I really hope she doesn’t join hands with that garbage emperor just so she can have the duke, I wouldn’t put it past her.
@CatGirlAlena Bruh, I feel like I got a different understanding. Like, being a parent is hard–and you’re not always going to be fair even if you care about both your kids. Does it make right? No, but we can understand where those choices came from. And, even better, the father didn’t force or guilt trip Amber to forgive him, accepting that she is angry and resentful. He understood he did something bad, and took ownership–better than most parents.
With the sister, it doesn’t feel like she’s suddenly “jealous” that Calix was focused on Amber, if anything, it felt like she was jealous of Amber focusing on Calix (i.e. she values Amber more). And I do think she doesn’t understand emotions in some way, not because she’s entitled or thinks herself better, but because she’s blunted. Similar to perhaps a level of Austim where it’s harder to process other’s emotions but she still has connections/bonds she values even if she may not be able to fully understand what they feel. That’s my take, at least. Maybe reading too much manwha where the sister is a bish caused you to have bias?
@AngieAllum yeah i thought so too. they mentioned about that “give & take” she’s born with magic but she lost her emotions. so im quite disagree with that “she only thinks about herself” thing.
