people are getting confused, the old Eris would have been bad but the new one is better and didn’t do any of this, yes helena did have a bad story but eris did to, THE REAL ERIS. Yes she did torture helena but she only did it bc she knew that the prince liked helena more. I know that’s a bad reason but she never got picked after all the time of them being together na d suddenly this beautiful girl with white hair and a purple eyes comes around and she’s the next best thing. Eris was jealous she she did horrible things to her, but she loves the prince and her dad only wants her to end up with him so it’s not like he seen anybody els, it was supposed to be them from the beginning. Eris didn’t do anything wrong to the prince so ofc when helena came and made with it worse she was mad. They both got they own stuff, helena was amazing for, forgiving her but she’s not cool for kinda taking over her fiancé in the first place, she could be anywhere and clearly have anyone and she choose to be closes with him. If she told him to stop just once or maybe twice I bet he would love her so much he would listen!

Eris, og Eris and Helena they’re all victims and have been through a lot, but at the end only one of them has a happy ending, a predestined one at that while the others are still gonna suffer. Og Eris has every right for the way she treated Helena, yes she was cruel, but it’s understandable. Imagine doing all the effort she did, working hard all the time with the idea of becoming a good ruler only for all your effort to be overshadowed by the one you are to marry and his love for a commoner who has only her good looks and sweet positive attitude. How would that make you feel? As for Helena she is indeed pitiful but at the end of the day she gets it easy, even tho she never asked for help or his love, the crown prince helps her at the expense of other people of course at the end she feels guilty but not guilty enough to let him know and that’s fucked up. And the way he treats Eris is unforgivable yet she always only watches by never reprimands him even knowing he loved her or tries to explain the situation.
I really can’t sympathize with Helena especially knowing at the end of the day she’s the only one with a happy ending and everything is handed to her on a silver plate by others cuz they adore her while Eris who’s worked so hard to be good and be recognized for her effort only suffers and dies because she rightfully hated the person who took everything from her.

At the same time I find her apologies or “forgiveness” as an effort to ease her burden for her own contribution to og Eris and current Eris pain. HOWEVER og Eris just like the super wonderful incredible prince takes out her frustration on another person and she tortured her. They can’t be mad at the systems at play or reality so they cope. I don’t dislike Helena less or anything but it’s more thought provoking and makes her more human. I still feel no matter how nice or placating she may feel she must be, placing hands on the prince and flirting and insisting they all be friends is not it for me and she knows it
