Well, ML lost his basic right to choose when he signed himself away to that smarmy bastard in the beginning. Also, you can’t have significant growth without a little bit of suffering along the way (but I’m not saying that FL was in the right to make him suffer).
At least FL is starting to recognize her actions aren’t the most morally sound. And, hey, she even admitted to being dumb. So she’s actually somewhat redeeming herself.
