I’m glad she’s realizing the flawed logic of dieting for others’ satisfaction. She is unintentionally teaching this child she loves to diet and have a complicated relation with food and self-esteem. Dieting can be ok, but in moderation, self-forgiveness, and with health rather than ‘ideal body’ in mind.
