Bruh, someone needs to talk some sense into the Duke. Popping out of no where once your kid is of age, telling them they are the heir to the dukedom, is not the move. That kid probably has been wondering why his parents abandoned him, only to be thrown into being a heir when he has no training to fulfill it safely or properly? Society would eat the boy alive once he’s an adult because he was never taught how to deal with them. Not to mention, he probably wouldn’t trust a father he thinks “abandoned” him and might end up trusting bad people who will take advantage of him. Imo.
I just wanted to add. I do not understand whhhhhyyy the mother of his child would put in such a request. He would have been better off protected/raised/learn to defend himself and have the love of his father with him. On the flip side, I’m not opposed to the idea of a pairing between our gurl and the duke. He clearly wasn’t loved and always called a monster and people label him. Our girl would treat him right. At least he isn’t getting used by the saint anymore
