The burning hatred when it comes to female villainess are a mass but when it comes to the ml, It’s giving double standards… The emperor is more at fault here after all, the og fl was doing her job as the concubine and her actions are totally logical if she wanted to survive however the emperor is ridiculous. He had that audacity to divorce a perfectly refined woman who has been on his side for far more times. The story is giving “men gives in more to the girls that shows more affections” as he turns a blind eye on the empress’ doings for the country and how much she had sacrificed. This bastard jus laughable. I’ll see that predictable fucking character development.

The other weird thing is, I assumed he married her for some political benefit, since she is the daughter of a duke, but now we hear they’re fallen nobles. So why would he marry her in the first place? It’s not clear what he got out of it.
